OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Encourage the citizens of our county to spay and
neuter their pets..
Care for ill and injured strays.
Humane education in our schools and
community.
Arrange adoption or fostering for all animals.
Overpopulation is the number one killer of
domestic animals. Hundreds of perfectly healthy
animals are currently being put to death in our
county annually purely because they are "surplus"
and unwanted animals. Your membership will
enable us to provide low-cost spaying and
neutering programs.
The majority of our budget is spent on health care.
Your membership will enable us to continue the
testing, spaying, neutering, vaccinating and
treatment that are necessary in order to assure
that our adoptable pets are sound.
Our hope is to teach humane treatment of pets in
order to prevent animal cruelty, which is illegal, but
still a lurking presence in our county. Your
membership will enable us to provide papers,
informational handouts, and other supplies.
Our goal is to eradicate the need for killing of pets
in Edgar County. Your membership will enable us
to publish adoption ads in the newspaper, on the
Internet, and local adoption events.
