1. We are looking for a few good foster homes ! !
We are not necessarily looking for the cleanest, biggest, or most
expensive homes. More important requirements are the character and
goodwill of the people who live with them. Foster parents are aware of
the "baggage" that comes with being an unwanted, lost.,or stray pet.
They play a priceless role in socializing a pet so that he will make a
successful transition from "traveling man" to "homebody" and have
manners needed to be acceptable in society.

Ideal foster parents for a dog would have a fenced in yard or exercise
area. (We
never  encourage tying or chaining !) In addition, we
desperately need foster parents who have the experience and time to
teach a few basic skills, such as house training, walking on a leash,
and coming when called. Some pets just need loving attention to help
them overcome a lifetime of pain and fear.

Foster parents for a cat would agree to keep the cat indoors at all
times. Cats need time to accustom themselves to new surroundings
and would allow the cat privacy and time to become used to his foster
home and family. He would set aside a little time each day for petting
and socializing.

Th ECHA provides  medical care and food. A foster parent provides
nurturing, occasional lessons, and most of all-- love. A foster parent
does not hoard pets. He knows that the best thing for each pet is to
find his very own new home and is able to help the pet make that
transition. A foster parent can virtually mean the difference between
life and death of a pet. We can't save every needy pet, but we can
make a difference one pet at a time.

2.  We always need collars and leashes. Nearly every dog that comes
under our care needs one of each. They do not need to be new, just
clean and in good condition.

3.   We always need cat litter. Any kind will do.

4.   Crates, carriers, live traps, kennels and dog houses are always in
short supply.  Through your generosity, we have been able to supply
several doghouses to provide shelter during the winter to owned pets
who had none. Also bails of straw for the winter months.

5.We are in need of digital cameras, since we have many volunteers
willing to take photos, but only one aging camera.

6. Likewise, we would appreciate the donation of another Internet
hook up as well as a computer, scanner, and printer.

If you have a donation or would like to help us out by
